Would deporting all illegals save the california economy.?
Everyone agrees that illegals are crippleing the economy and in particular californias.
Everything from DUI, driving without insurance, tax fraud, identity theft, takeing jobs, welfare, hospitals.
Do you think that deporting them all would cause the economy to recover almost overnight.
Despite what they claim they dont help the economy, they make next to nothing and spend almost nothing.
What the hispanic population spends and what the illegal population spends are two different things.
And not all illegals are hispanic.
So when will California like Nebraska start denying medicare to pregnant mothers.
And when will california like Arizona start asking for birth certificates from highschoolers so they can provide it to ICE.
10 points fo rbest answer.
Please no racisim lets just keep it about the Laws of America.

do you know how much money it would cost to deport everyone
Deporting all illegals would probably be the final death knell for the California economy.
They are the ONLY ones who WANT to do any real work, and are willing to do so at the lowest wages…
(I know: the “truth” and those pesky “facts” hurt, don’t they “Conservatives”?)
Obviously.
yea it would there would be so many more jobs for the legal people i think they need to be about it rel soon my kids will not find jobs when they are old enough to work and that makes me sad and mad at the same time
The V man AKA Ace wrote:”Do you know how much it would cost to deport everyone?”
Nope. Do you? But think of all the jobs it would create for ICE agents, not to mention the airlines, detention companies/local jails, etc. Not to mention, all the jobs it would free up for Americans and all the cuts in taxes. And the $24 BILLION or so that’s annually remitted to Mexico.
In reality, illegal aliens probably account for 1/4 the State’s budget shortfall, so unfortunately, it’s not a magic bullet. And drying up reasons for being here by denying illegal aliens jobs is really the better, long-term way to go–it discourages future illegal aliens who might think they could get away with getting a job if only they could get here.
there will be no amnesty or dream act,
It would be one hell of a good start.
Well it sure wouldn’t hurt. That’s for sure.
This is a good question and a very popular thought by many Americans. One of the concerns however is that California’s economic crisis is not the result of illegal immigration. Yes, nations around the world have to deal with certain economic circumstances that are effected by illegal immigration and solving those problems are top priority. However; as a nation and thinking economically, we need to be smart about this issue. Ok, so we have all of these illegal immigrants in the United States. What do we do with them? Rules and regulations must be created in order to make some of these illegal immigrants (those who work or plan to educate themselves) legal. You will ask, why make them legal? Making illegal immigrants legal and giving them access to the labor force and to education will let to direct access to our legal system, meaning allowing them to move freely across the United States or even, to another country. This is a known fact by many economists. Because it is not in the economic interest of the U.S. government to deport all of these people (it takes a lot of money to do this, a lot of law enforcement and a loss of underground economic progress- yes this is a concern) the only problems they now cause or problems to the citizens of california. So this is a problem that needs to be address. Make these individuals legal, allowing them to move across the United States, out of california and maybe move freely back home. Keeping these people illegal will surely make them stay longer in the U.S. because they are scared to move anywhere, give them a passport to do so and you will see how quickly migrants will migrate across the nation.
I am not for amnesty, but I would not want a mass deportation, but I would like the laws on the books to be followed and deport any illegals we find. I do fear we are being colonized one illegal at a time. Why else would Mexico have 48 Mexican Consul in the USA to protect and service the 20% of the Mexicans we have living both legally and illegally here. We have 20% of the population of Mexico living in the USA, I just had to repeat that.
Laws of America????? Are you for kidding me? Oh, and why do people offer 10 points for best answer? Duh.
Anyway, the only way to see if that would help the economy is for it to actually happen, and even with all the LAWS OF AMERICA, which are not being enforced by our own government, it will NOT happen.
There should be regulations, but there aren’t.
yeah, deporting them will be the best thing.!
but i see it almost impossible with barack obama
he supports an immigration reform 100% and he even said “deporting and breaking families apart, Thats not what america is about”
he said that on the issue of immigration on his website
i guessing that they will probably never be become legal in here. but they will never leave as well
and that scares that crap out of me.! cause if obama wants to legalize them all.. theres already 80% of american against him… soo IMPOSSIBLE.! and honestly you gotta be heartless to start killing them and killing their kids and stuff so…..
and they dont fit in jail aswell
takes so much money to send them back
and yeah sending them back would give alot of jobs that they take.!
some of them the even own houses. so there should be some preety cheap houses around aswell
but the problem is that for them is better here. cause of the violence in mexico, salvador and nicaragua.!
best thing right now
LEGALIZE THEM CASE-BY-CASE.!!!
=(
oh and didnt that republican that showed that by 2050 illegal would be the majority in the US because of their reproduction.? or something like that

scott m or what ever says that gangs like M-13
you dont even know about that gang.
its callled MS-13 not M-13 <–that sounds like a riffle and its a salvadorian gang “Mara SalvaTrucha 13″
you see the SALVA.?? that means salvador TRUCHA means alert and MARA means massive group idiot….
they dont allow mexicans to joing their gang…
learn first then type stuppppid
bottom line—if these criminals had any good intention in coming here they would have an understanding of the expenses of their presence here, the cost to cities, states and our government and they would leave voluntarily….the fact is these people could give a rats arse about how hurting our economy is….selfishness and criminal behaviours are learned responses….which is a massive part of the problem….these people lack the mantality to even recognize when they need to split and take the time to do it the right way–giving our economy the much needed time and resources that they suck out of us and our economy…..shameful at best.
Deporting all illegals will not solve California’s problems over night, but it will help solve many of them over time. We should start by denying federal funding to self-proclaimed “sanctuary cities” such as San Francisco and suspend the tax exemptions of churches that harbor and support illegal aliens.
Simply put, these cities and churches break our laws and we, wherever we live, have to pay for their illegal activities. It’s not up to them to promote their agendas at my expense. What don’t they understand about “Taxation without representation”?
Mexican gangs like M-13 create havoc in many California communities. This should not be tolerated. They receive generous benefits from the taxpayers of California and then turn around and prey on those same taxpayers. Deporting them is not enough because when they are released in Mexico, they are often back here in a matter of days. Maybe we should cut them up and drop them off around the great white shark infested Farallon Islands.
No. Who would pay for deportations ?
NO. it would not only cause CA’s to calapse, but the rest of the nation.
First there’s the cost to do it: $100BILLION.
Source: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/09/12/deportation.cost/index.html
The cost to the employers: $1BILLION.

And then the loses to CA’s economy: $220.7 BILLION in expenditures only.

Getting rid of people that pay taxes and are consumers hurts any economy.
economics 101
I think if the illegals should be deported, because they are ILLEGALS. Think of the money the tax payer would not be shelling out for the education, health care, homes, and all the the crimes they commit because they can not make enough money to live on. Freeing up jobs for citizens in this country for a while. No one wants to do those jobs, let me tell you a lot of people would do these jobs when things get harder and harder each day. A little money is better than no money. That is what it is coming to in this country. A lot of American citizens need jobs regardless of what the jobs are. This is what america is about we pull together as a nation. or is this the allowable lie for the week. Now that plastic is no longer in the vogue another allowable lie. Each of us must take the bull by the horns and get the job done. I say arrest the illegal, search his/her living quarters for additional illegals and rug rats, and deport all. confiscate all their belongings and sell cars, trucks, bank accounts and use that money to send them back. dollar amount equals method .
Lets just say we can deport 3 million people from California overnight and then the next day you need to understand that 3 million people who were buying food, gas, clothes, cig, beer, etc… are no longer there to be part of that buying force.
You say big deal but now you have to look at other items as well because those 3 million people were also paying rent and now you will have many empty apartments and homes. Who will step in and fix that?
Also a large majority of those 3 million people pay taxes using false social security cards. The Gov figures that just social security payments into mismatched accounts because of undocumented brings in over 9 billion dollars a year and that does not count Fed tax payments made. Those in california are contributing about 2 billion of that.
An average person working either under the table or for min wage in california (figured low) has maybe 4 in their family and normally 2 of them work and sometime 2 jobs bringing in 2-4 incomes per household. Just using a low figure of $8 per hour and 1.5 million workers say working one full time and one part time job would be the equivalent of 2.25 Million jobs
The figures state that there are now about 10.8 million illegals in the USA and 24 percent of them are in California. Someone said that 20% of Mexicos polulation live in the US and even if all the illegals were Mexican it would still not be 20% since Mexico has just over 111 Million so 20% would be 22 million Mexicans. Some argue and say that the 10.8 million is a low figure and it that is true then understand that shipping them out would not only create a large economic problem because they have been paying rent and buying things and paying taxes but know that they also have been working in jobs that do not require a high school diploma and when kids get out of high school they are not willing to do those type of jobs for the amount that we have been paying illegals. They want more money than that.
The illegals that now will be deported will either leave their US Citizen children here for the States to take care of which will be an overwhelming burden or they will take them and if they take them then imagine Mexico trying to accommodate millions of new people when they don’t have jobs as it is. If you know anything about Macro-economics then you understand that economies affect other economies. If Mexico has more problems than it already has then it will affect the US greatly whether you are able to grasp this or not. You mention requiring birth certificates for school and if we refuse to educate illegal children then they will be forced into more gang activity than they are already in. Imagine millions of kids not in school, what will they be doing? See Brazil and how this has increased crime drastically.
Amount of illegal workers in california assuming 2.59 million illegals some old
1,500,000.00 some are too young to work
Amount of employeesHours for full time workers at 2080 per year each
1,500,000 3,120,000,000.00
Hours for part time workers – most work 2 jobs
1,560,000,000.00
Total Hours worked by illegals in CA figure $8 per hour
4,680,000,000.00
Total dollars they earned
$37,440,000,000.00 This is in the billions
Total taxes paid directly to gov between 3-6 billion even if half is under table
$6,240,000,000.00
Average money sent home out of the country
$1,800,000,000.00 about 100/mo each worker goes back to Mexico/other
Total money left in USA and spent
$35,640,000,000.00 35 Billion in buying force
to leave country if deported
Estimates spent on rent figure even sharing homes at $500/mo each worker 6k/yr
9,000,000,000.00 Just in rent/housing loss would be
9 billion per year
Oh, yea this would really fix Californias problems to deport this big of a buying force causing businesses and those renting to these people to go bankrupt. We need to think things through before we just jump into any sort of action. These figures are shown as low estimates since many of them make more than $8 per hour. Many of them have 2 full time jobs although that is not included.
Ok.
After reading opinions I would like to clear a point: Yes, it is true that most of the illegal immigrants have “all” the available jobs that United States have and it is because they put effort on their duties and are not lagging it or calling off every time they have a chance, or working for about 4 months and finding a reason to get fire and get on unemployment benefits. I believe that those immigrants that you all criticize and say that “it is their fault why we don’t have jobs” it’s just an excuse because those people get tax exempt and they pay for the people who are on welfare, they also don’t get their whole refund tax check at the end of the year like other people who work do. I also never see them asking for money outside the stores or on the freeway exits, that’s something to be ashamed of and it’s what’s hurting the economy. Another thing that it’s and will continue to hurt the economy is those who actually have the opportunity to go to school and earn a degree are wasting their time by “thinking” what they are going to do with their future or thinking what’s “affecting” the United States without realizing that it is themselves that are affecting it. Maybe those people should earn more knowledge on the subject such as illegal, aliens, immigrants, economics, etc, and then criticize.
